10th of Ramadan City is one of Egypt’s biggest industrial areas. It helps the country grow by supporting factories and businesses. But the city had a big problem—people were stealing cast-iron manhole covers.
Why? Because metal is valuable and thieves sell it for money. When these covers go missing, it creates dangerous open holes on the streets and costs a lot of money to replace. The city needed a better solution.
For years, the city struggled with stolen manhole covers. Open holes on roads made it dangerous for cars and people. Fixing them over and over took a lot of money and time.
The city needed a strong, theft-proof solution that would fit into their existing system without spending too much money on new installations.
Almasrya worked with city officials to create a better solution. Instead of replacing everything, we designed a special composite cover that fits inside the old cast-iron frames.
In just six months, we replaced:
Almasrya’s work in 10th of Ramadan City shows how smart engineering can solve big city problems. Our composite covers provide a safe, affordable, and lasting solution against theft.
As metal theft continues to be a problem in many cities, Almasrya is ready to help others find better, smarter solutions to keep their streets safe.
